Oh Woman Workshops

Greenway Women's Centre will be hosting a 2-day workshop exploring female confidence, leadership, community and health & wellbeing in February 2018.

This training is free open to women of all ages.

Nexus NI Bystander Intervention Workshops
Tuesday 20 February & Thursday 22 February, 10am-11.30am

Greenway Women's Centre will be hosting Nexus NI Bystander Intervention Workshops in February 2018.

This free training on Bystander Intervention allows women to discuss times they may have witnessed an incident such as harassment and wanted to help but didn't know how and will present ideas on how we can all intervene safely as active bystanders.

  • Topics covered will include:
  • What is the Bystander Effect?
  • How you can be an active bystander
  • Strategies for SAFE intervention
  • What to do after you have intervened
  • Support and advice

East Belfast Community Health Champions

East Belfast Community Health Champions meet at Greenway Women's Centre every Monday, between 10am and 12.30pm, to discuss a wide variety of health-related topics.

They are currently looking for more people to get involved with these meetings.

Women in Peacebuilding Cross Community Project

As part of the Women In Peacebuilding Project in partnership with Falls Women's Centre and Shankill Women's Centre, Greenway Women's Centre will be hosting the following courses:

Stress Management (10 weeks)

Self Confidence Course (7 weeks)

Women In Peacebuilding is a free cross community project for women.

Stepping Stone Outreach Drop In

Are you unemployed and looking for employment?
Stepping Stone can offer support and advice on a range of issues, including CVs, qualifications and confidence building.The Stepping Stone Drop In takes place at Greenway Women's Centre every Monday, between 10am and 12pm.
An Employment Mentor will be available each week to provide FREE practical help and support.

Greenway Women's Group Tutor/ Facilitator Register

Tutors and facilitators are invited to submit CVs to be held on a register for Greenway Women's Group for future courses, workshops and events. This register will be held by Greenway Women's Group and may be shared with other women's groups.
Please note: Previous community-based teaching experience is essential.
CVs should include name and contact information, along with details of previous teaching/ delivery of training (including subject areas), qualifications, expected salary rate and a minimum of two employer references.
Following an informal interview, CVs of those Tutors/ Facilitators fulfilling the necessary requirements will be held on file until such time as vacancies arise.
CVs can be submitted by email to training@greenwaywomenscentre.org or by post to Helen Smyth, Training & Education Officer, Greenway Women's Centre, 19 Greenway, Cregagh Estate, Belfast BT6 ODT.
